CULTIVATING OUR FUTURE LEADERS

EXECUTIVE CONNECT PARTNERS WITH WILL PACKER

In Summer of 2020, Will Packer emphatically asked industry leaders to invest in developing a generation of Studio leaders from Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs). Subsequently, GTDI launched the Executive Connect Initiative in partnership with Will and director Rob Hardy, both of whom are HBCU alum. Along with their Black Light Collective group which consists of highly regarded Black industry professionals, artists and executives, GTDI creates access for underrepresented college students seeking a pathway to Studio leadership. The one-year immersive internship enhancement rotates students through three strategic business areas where they have unparalleled access to C-Suite executives, executive mentors, exclusive industry events, and professional development workshops.

the inclusion council

Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) established its Inclusion Committee in 2020, under the executive sponsorship of NBCU Studio Group chairman & chief content officer Donna Langley and Global head of hr & culture NBCUniversal Studio Group Lissa Freed. With the wave of activism impacting underrepresented communities across the globe, the Inclusion Committee was inspired by our studio employees, whose passionate advocacy for DEI was felt at the very top. This business-led organization, led by Co-Chairs Dwight Caines, Universal Pictures' President of Domestic Marketing, and Adam Moysey, NBCUniversal Studio Group CFO, touches every part of UFEG's business, ensuring that the Studio operates as a fully inclusive and equitable organization.
